After my original post above I did send Lexi-Comp an email regarding my predicament. They were sympathetic and replied that I could get a year subscription to their mobile online site or a prorated refund. I thought that was fair of them, at the least, and chose the subscription to the mobile online site.

Has their been any updates on lexicomp? I am very tempted to get a pre3 for verizon from ebay but the biggest thing holding me back is the lack of lexicomp compatibility. Such a shame what hp did with webOS. I have and continue to try to use iOS and android devices but neither clicks for me. And I am still very very disappointed in epocrates for abandoning webOS- seeing that they continue to support palmOS and windows mobile devices yet they can't support webOS.

Really hoping for the best...

Dear Editor:

Thanks for your helpful feedback.

1. The "More" button has been replaced by a "More Disciplines" button.

2. We agree with your point regarding the journal mobile websites. However, we expect that soon most top journals will redirect visitors automatically from their classic to their mobile-friendly websites whenever visitors reach their classic sites from mobile devices. In the meantime, we are considering the possibility to add an icon linking to the mobile version of journals.

3. The database provides as well journal impact factors, which are revised twice a year (January and July).

We thanks once again for your thoughtful feedback.

Regards,

Max Keller

I sympathize with your predicament. Let's hope Lexi-comp and HP will get their act together. With the latest 2.2.4 update does it work now? I haven't tested. At least HP is still pushing out webOS updates for the Pre3 despite earlier news to the contrary.

It was very discouraging to find out after splurging on myself to get a Pre 3 back in November that Lexi-Comp did not work. After ePocrates ceased supporting WebOS I did to put my loyalties and money toward Lexi-Comp. I bought a 2 year subscription of a large pediatric package. I actually saw it as a investment in my patient's care and in WebOS (which I saw as a great mobile OS). I thought it was great on the go, it made my Pre Plus a competitive smartphone with all the iPhone jockeys. I can understand why Lexi-Comp stopped updating their software with WebOS after HP dropped WebOS nevertheless I feel that after paying them so much money obligates them to continue supporting it or at least partially refund my money.

My Touchdroid is great. The best of both worlds - webOS and Android. I use both about equally.
